Subject: What happened to gems after the move

Since the move to rackspace, I notice that there don't seem to be any gems on the github project pages.

I did a commit to my rubyredrick/ri_cal project which should have triggered a gem build, but it didn't, and there's no evidence in the UI any more that a gem is available, or in the admin ui of how to turn gem builds off or on, if there ever was such an explicit action.

I know you guys have been super busy with the move, and I'm hoping that this will work itself out relatively quickly.

Also, github seems to have lost all of the tags in my repo as well. I think someone else has already reported this for another project in the repo issues category.

Having the same problem. It seems like their gem building server is down:

Gem building has been temporarily disabled. We didn't feel that the gem builder should hold up our move to Rackspace.

In the meantime I whole heartedly recommend Gemcutter - http://gemcutter.org/

    Cheers and sorry about that,

    Chris

Any rough estimate on when it will be back? I'm already dealing with both github and rubyforge. Don't really need a third.

We're really gunning for gemcutter... you never know, we might move our gems over there. You really should check it out.
