Subject: Can't rename repo
After pressing "OK" to rename my repo, I get the generic github error page. The old repo is still listed in the dashboard but is not accessible through the web interface. I can still push to the old repo. The new repo is no where to be found. After a while, the old repo appears on the website again.

When did you do the rename? Renames are a background job, and there was a period today where the job queue fell behind.

A few hours ago, thanks for the update. I'll just wait.

I renamed these repos more than an hour ago, they show in my dashboard but
their master/tree pages are not showing. Do I wait for the queue to finish
or are they in a bad state?

me too, facing the same problem. I've waited for and hour or so, I think.
Still, not impatient yet :)

I tried about 5 minutes ago and it reverted back to the old name.

Looks like the fix for the other issues didn't fix renaming. We're looking into it.

Everyone that has a broken repo due to this, could you please give me the old repo user/name and the new name you want it to have?

Mine wasn't necessarily broken but if you could rename it for me that would be great. Username: r0ssar00 reponame: xtagrev newname: platformkernel

oh, boy. I tried the rename again, but all I got was a "Server error" with a drenched cute cat.
And now my old repo is not accessible.
can you please revert it?
account: jrharshath
old repo name: jsthread
new repo name: jsthreads (this is what failed)
can you please manually rename it to jsthreads? (or revert it to jsthread for now?)
ty,
jrh

Same problem for me today. I hit rename and got the generic error page. The old repo name still shows up on my profile page but only shows the generic error page when I view it.
user: brentsnook
old name: pickle
new name: bumps
Thanks :)

Everyone, your renames should be done. if you are still having troubles please open a new ticket, I'm closing this one.
Sorry about the bug, I'll be harassing someone to fix it as soon as they get back from the holiday weekend.
